- Research and development of policies for regional public corporations and advisory and support for government offices.
- Education and training under related laws, e.g., Lifelong Education Act.
- Support for management business promoted by local governments and public corporations.
- Management of the information resources of public corporations and support for standardization.
- Business consigned by central administration offices, local governments, and public organizations.
- Facilitation of exchanges and cooperation in Korea and abroad.
- Provision of feasibility reviews, academic research services, publication and sale of local governments and public corporations.
- Development of regional public corporations.
- Management evaluation, diagnosis, and consulting for public corporations.
- Other business to achieve the purpose of the Institute.
